Our popular Half Year program is designed to introduce athletes to the sport, and to teach them proper training methods in a safe environment. Half Year Cheer is perfect for School, Rec, and Pop Warner cheerleaders who are looking to continue cheerleading outside of their regular season, or for girls who want to experience all star cheerleading without a major commitment. Half Year teams begin in November, and practice once a week. They do 2-3 local performances between February and May.
WHAT DOES IT ENTAIL?
Half Year Cheer is a great way for children to receive all of the benefits of participation in our All Star program- i.e.,safe training methods, experienced and certified staff, proper training equipment, positive family atmosphere- but with a significantly lower cost and time commitment. Half Year teams only commit to practice once a week, with an additional tumbling class included in their tuition if they choose to attend. Athletes will be learning a 2-minute routine comprised of several different elements. These elements include tumbling, stunting, jumping, pyramids, and intricate dance choreography. This routine is then performed and scored against other teams at various local competitions.

With team bonding events, holiday parties, special events at the gym, and participation in charity causes, your child is joining much more than just a cheer team. At Cheer Pride, they will become part of our family of coaches, parents, and other athletes who support them and want to see them succeed! We make sure that all of our athletes feel like they are a part of the group, surrounded by positive role models and excellent coaching. Our kids are pushed to their potential in all areas of cheer, and your child will develop in these different areas while gaining confidence and feeling a sense of belonging.
